Entrepreneurship Community

Welcome to the JAAGNet Community for Entrepreneurship.

“Entrepreneurship” is the act of creating and building a business with the aim of eventually turning it into a profitable venture, be it a brick-and mortar business, tech startup or launching a new product or service. It’s about building on your dreams and leading them in the direction you desire, being your own boss, no restrictive time schedules but to be successful requires dedication, hard work and sleepless nights and even with all this it still can be a treacherous venture as many start-up businesses fail for various reasons, e.g. lack of capital, market demand, poor management decisions.

Let’s start with a definition:

noun Entrepreneurship

/ˌäntrəprəˈnərˌSHip/

 Noun: Entrepreneurship

  1. the activity of setting up a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit.

"the new business opportunities have encouraged entrepreneurship on a grand scale"

Many people think you can’t get to $1 million in revenue in a one-person professional services business.  The following article about Chad Patschke has proves this statement wrong.  Patschke brought in just under $3 million in annual revenue—with about one-third of this in profit—in 2019 in his solo consultancy, Ethos Mechanical Integrity Solutions in the Austin, Texas area. It helps companies that handle hazardous chemicals avoid explosions and fires.  In doing so, he joined a small but…
