Entrepreneurship Community

Welcome to the JAAGNet Community for Entrepreneurship.

“Entrepreneurship” is the act of creating and building a business with the aim of eventually turning it into a profitable venture, be it a brick-and mortar business, tech startup or launching a new product or service. It’s about building on your dreams and leading them in the direction you desire, being your own boss, no restrictive time schedules but to be successful requires dedication, hard work and sleepless nights and even with all this it still can be a treacherous venture as many start-up businesses fail for various reasons, e.g. lack of capital, market demand, poor management decisions.

Let’s start with a definition:

noun Entrepreneurship

/ˌäntrəprəˈnərˌSHip/

 Noun: Entrepreneurship

  1. the activity of setting up a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit.

"the new business opportunities have encouraged entrepreneurship on a grand scale"

Is it possible to generate a substantial amount of Revenue as a one person consultancy?

Many people think you can’t get to $1 million in revenue in a one-person professional services business.  The following article about Chad Patschke has proves this statement wrong.  Patschke brought in just under $3 million in annual revenue—with about one-third of this in profit—in 2019 in his solo consultancy, Ethos Mechanical Integrity Solutions in the Austin, Texas area. It helps companies that handle hazardous chemicals avoid explosions and fires.  In doing so, he joined a small but…

We are facing a global crisis, perhaps the biggest of our generation. Besides the social and health impact, the current situation has taken a toll on all of us but with a special impact on founders.

Stress not only affects your mental, emotional, and physical well-being, but also the startup as a whole. A stressful environment may lead to disagreements amongst team members, delays, de-motivation, indiscipline, etc. but the greatest impact can be felt on the mental health of founders:…

We’re all born with this innate desire to be accepted. To fit in.

The trouble is… when you try too hard to fit in, you lose a part of yourself in the process.

And what the world needs most is for you to be you – bold, unapologetic, thoughtful, creative, take-the-world-by-storm you.…

As a leader, this year’s bumper sticker should be: "All eyes on you."

With the pressure to show up, massively problem solve, and deliver difficult , nothing about this year has been simple. What is simple is that there is one tool to keep getting you through the…

Funding isn't a one-size-fits-all process. Traditional routes for raising money — venture capitalists, angel investors or crowdfunding — aren't the only options, and for many entrepreneurs, they may be the wrong options. Often, founders forget that there is potential funding support right under their nose; funding that you don't have to pay back or sacrifice equity for.…
